Daniel Dhers Bio

In 1987, at the age of 2, Venezuelan native Daniel Dhers received his first bike. It wasn’t until three years later that Daniel first hopped on his ride…and hated it. In 1997, with the encouragement of other young riders, 12-year-old Daniel Dhers finally dusted off his neglected wheels and took the plunge. Parks in his hometown of Caracas were scarce and dangerous, but in 2001, the Dhers family picked up and moved to Argentina where Daniel was able to ride public skate parks everyday. In 2004 and 2005 Dhers attended Woodward Camp in Stage College, PA where he progressed his riding to a professional level and began to snake his competitors.  Now 24, Daniel Dhers still resides at Woodward with three Dew Tour wins and two X Games gold medals under his belt. When he’s not at camp, you might spot him dishing out tricks with legendary BMXer Dave Mirra, or appearing in media campaigns for one of his many sponsors which currently include DC Shoes, Red Bull, KHE Bikes, POC Helmets, ALBE’s, Team Blowin’ It, Woodward, Kicker Audio, and more.
